Add CO Poisoning Protection to Your Linear PERS
Expand your Linear PERS-2400B or PERS-3600B Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) by adding protection against dangerous gases with the DXS-80 Carbon Monoxide Detector. This sensor provides a warning to alert against both the acute and chronic effects of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning, a possible hazard for any home with open-flame appliances.
When CO is detected, the alarm sounds a loud local alarm. Twenty seconds after the local alarm sounds, the built-in transmitter sends a digitally coded wireless signal to the PERS main console (the wireless signal will be repeated every 10 seconds as long as smoke is still present). The console repeats the alarm with audible and visual indications, plus notifies a monitoring service.
- The CO detector is pre-coded at the factory to unique codes; no coding is required.
- It is a supervised device, meaning the main console will notify you when the CO detector stops working.
- Powered by a 3-volt lithium battery (supplied) that can power the detector for up to six years.
At about six years, the CO detector element will reach the end of its serviceable life. The self-supervising detector will signal a permanent trouble condition, indicating time for replacement.
