This console is the foundation of the Linear’s PERS-3600B, a comprehensive and customizable Personal Emergency Reporting System (PERS) that provides security and peace of mind for people living alone. You can set it up as a basic alert device or expand it to provide whole home protection.
A basic system includes this system console, plus a wireless transmitter that the resident wears (either a wristband or pendant, sold separately). Pushing a button on the transmitter or pushing a button on the console sends an alert to a monitoring service that is then able to provide the necessary help. Linear’s PERS also offers additional features when more transmitters are added to the system, including activity monitoring, reminder messages, basic home security and more.
For the visually impaired, the console’s buttons are molded with Braille characters.
For medication, appointment and other reminders, you can record up to eight 15-second audio messages and have the system play them back at certain times.
Add motion and door/window sensors to monitor movement within the home. If movement is not detected within a selected time frame, an emergency alarm is automatically triggered.
Add smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to receive alerts of possible dangerous conditions.
Each alarm notification is sent to a monitoring service. A built-in, highly-sensitive microphone and speaker allows for two-way and listen-in communication with the monitoring service during an emergency.
The entire system is continually supervised, meaning it will let you know if any of the connected devices stop working – even if your phone line goes down!
The Linear PERS requires a monitoring service to operate. Home Health Tech recommends contacting a monitoring service of your choice before purchasing this product to verify the monitoring service can support the Linear PERS.
MODERATE to ADVANCED: A basic system can be installed in minutes; however, a more comprehensive system requires advanced installation and programming.
The main console requires a telephone connection and regular power outlet. A transmitter and monitoring service is required to operate the system.
